Taking the leap?

I normally like to share something I have found inspiring on Instagram for a bit of Monday motivation, but as I sit here at 5am in the dark, unable to get back to sleep because “someone” was snoring next to my ear, I thought I would share some of my own thoughts instead. At the moment, I am in a bit of limbo. My current job has hugely affected my mental health, so much so, that I have needed to take some time out. The stress of even doing this manifested in my body and I was stuck in bed for over a week. It has taken me a few weeks to realise and accept that I can no longer work for this company and I need to find something else but before I do this, I need to heal my body and mind from this stress. Some of you may remember I had to take time out from the same company a couple of years ago for the very same reason. The difference is, last time in addition to the stress, I was also severely depressed. I had no real motivation and certainly did not have the mental strength to contem

My intentions for the coming week

My writing room is ready to go (apart from a shelf that the husband is going to put up for me) so now there are no excuses not to get in there and write this week. I also want to try a gentle yoga session this week, it’s something I really want to get into and I need to start making better use of my time. I also have a huge selection of books that my husband bought me last year from my Amazon wish list to get through so I am going to start with miracle morning and read a chapter each day. 💓 #intention #love #meditation #mindfulness #selfcare #gratitude #selflove #motivation #healing #manifestation #inspiration #energy #spirituality #purpose #manifest #intentionalliving #life #intuition #goals #wellness #consciousness #mindset #spiritual #believe #awareness #success #writing #yoga #miraclemorning

What a lovely week

I had a really lovely week this week. I feel like I’m finally on the high vibe I love so much. I feel happy and content with my life and also excited about the future. This week, I decided to upgrade our small spare room (which is currently a dressing room) into a writing room and sanctuary. I had so much fun doing this and once it’s all finished, I will post some pictures. I had lunch with the bestie, saw my parents who were looking after my little niece and went out for dinner with the husband for his birthday. On Friday I cooked his favourite meal of Moules Mariniere for him and the boys and we told them about the trip to Florida we have booked for us all in the summer holidays, they are so excited! 💖 #gratitude #love #grateful #happiness #meditation #motivation #inspiration #blessed #selflove #mindfulness #peace #thankful #life #positivevibes #selfcare #family #happy #nature #lawofattraction #joy #thankyou #abundance #healing #positivity #mindset #writing #sanctuary #friends #birt

Beast restaurant London

It’s the husbands birthday today so last night we went to his favourite restaurant @beast.restaurant they serve the most delicious Norwegian King crab! It’s just around the corner from Bond Street station and you enter the ground floor reception area that has a huge bear statue, you then descend to the basement where you are greeted by the steaks hanging in the chillers and the king crabs in their tanks, you walk through the bar area into the restaurant. The reastaurant is candlelit and you are seated on huge long dining tables, although there are some tables for two, we quite like sitting next to each other and the tables are wide enough that you don’t feel crowded by the other diners. The open kitchen is at the end of the dining tables and there is an outdoor terrace also.
The husband had oysters to start (I’m not a fan) and then we shared the crab legs & claws, chateaubriand, truffle chips and some wild mushrooms.
As usual the food and staff were amazing, the waitress had overhe

My Top 10 Self Care activities

Having this break from work has been so beneficial to my mental health. I now know that putting time aside for self care is essential for me, I now try and do at least one of the below activities every day and it’s already starting to pay off, I feel happier than I have in a long time. 1. A nice soak in the bath. I have some lovely smelling bubbles & light some candles. I do a hair mask, a face scrub and put the iPad on the bath caddy playing real housewives. I’ve also recently bought myself a bath pillow. 2. Read. I love putting my dressing gown on, getting a cup of tea (my friend Rachel has got me into the Twining blends, my current fave is the lemon, ginger & turmeric) and curling up in my chair with a book. 3. Having a massage. 1 whole hour of pure bliss! I try to have one at least every couple of months. It costs less than a night out and is much better for me. I’m very lucky to have a masseuse living in the next street who works from home, that way there is no driving
